Built its identity around fast-paced, energetic content aimed at older kids and young teens, distinguishing itself from the main Disney Channel. Its programming lineup has included well-known animated series such as Gravity Falls, Star Wars Rebels, Phineas and Ferb, DuckTales (2017), and several Marvel-based shows, making it especially appealing to fans of superheroes, science fiction, and fantasy.

Over the years, Disney XD also expanded into live-action series, competitive gaming specials, and event programming, reinforcing its appeal to a digitally savvy audience. The channel has been available through major cable and satellite providers in the United States and selected international markets, while much of its content has also been integrated into Disney’s broader streaming strategy through Disney+.
